Inspection
Throughout Imes Group we provide inspection services, using numerous inspection techniques applied to all manner of structures and equipment.
Buchan Inspection delivers independent third party statutory inspection and testing services for lifting equipment as required by LOLER SI 2307:1998. We are accredited to ISO IEC 17020 (EN45004) for Type A, In Service Inspection Bodies for Lifting Equipment.
Imes provides project management and on-site services for the execution of audits and inspection of lifting equipment.
Both Buchan Inspection and Imes provide electronic safety management systems to meet the requirements of their clients.
Imes Solutions develops and applies technology to establish structural integrity by detecting and determining the significance of defects.
IMES offers inspection and UKAS accredited calibration services for force and load equipment. We also provide equipment and services for inspection and testing of distributed control systems.

Monitoring & Measurement
Imes Group offers a wide selection of monitoring and measurement services and products for many applications.
Imes Solutions offers bespoke solutions to the challenges posed by our client's measuring needs. We have the capability to measure parameters including temperature, pressure, strain, load, vibration and acoustic emission.
IMES provides measurement products, systems and services to all areas of industry, ranging from the measurement requirements of process plants to measuring the centre of gravity for fuelled communications satellites and the provision of specialist load cells. We also deliver a comprehensive range of measurement products including crane load measuring and monitoring systems, batching systems and bespoke measurement systems.
Water Weights offers a complete range of load links and load cell shackles from 5t - 350t. These are available for hire or for sale.

In-Service Support
Imes Group provides in-service support to clients on a contract basis or as part of the completion of specific projects.
Buchan Inspection offers in-service support through the compilation of registers of statutory inspection reports, checking and storing relevant certification in an effective manner for easy access.
Imes provides on-site repairs, workshop repairs, on-site testing, installation of lifting equipment, and light fabrication of equipment.
Special Projects delivers Waterfront In-Service Support to the Royal Navy's Trident Strategic Weapon System. This includes maintenance support, routine preventative maintenance, repairs, testing and diagnostics to the Trident Navigation System, Fire Control and Guidance System, Missile Launching and Handling System, and the Test Instrumentation System as well as providing Weapons System Performance Analysis Services.
IMES provides in-service support and repair of equipment and systems used in measurement and control applications as found in the process and offshore industries.
Water Weights provides in-service support and asset management services including the inspection, maintenance and load testing of client's Water Weights bags and underwater air salvage bags, rendering them fully certified and available for use.

Specialist Engineering
Imes Group provides a range of specialist engineering services including designing lifting equipment, testing materials and investigating failure analysis.
Imes provides rigging equipment design services, load weighing design, installation and commissioning services. We also offer design and supply of all types of lifting equipment, lifting equipment design and Marine Lifting Equipment and Life Saving Appliance load testing management services.
Imes Solutions conducts research on materials to determine their structural performance and suitability. Consultancy services can be provided to establish structure and machinery condition monitoring needs. In addition, investigations and failure analysis services are available.
IMES provides specialised engineering design services for integrated equipment and systems used in the fields of measurement, control, test, safety, integrity and calibration.
