Crane Monitoring Systems
Imes has developed a range of crane monitoring systems to support the through life management of cranes. Particular emphasis has been placed on life extension programmes by capturing multiple parameters to support informed decision making on future asset integrity.
Imes has deployed web based technology to capture data such as:
- Load
- Hook height
- Cross travel
- Temperature
- Motor current
- Visual data
The instrumentation system captures data from key locations using data derived from Finite Element Analysis. Specific alarms can be set for the captured data which is continuously logged during operations.
If the crane system deviates from the set alarm levels, then messages can be sent by text or email enabling intervention at the earliest possible time.
Web interfaces allow remote access to logged data extending through time which can be used to support incident investigation as well as determining and deviations from expected equipment lifecycle.
